Repository Sites
When do you anticipate that a repository site will be available in the S. CA area, if at all. If that is not going to happen, then please direct me as to how to make a deposit to any other repositiory.

Repository Sites
Christine,
Thank you for your interest in participating in the respository. We are also eager to expand our coverage of collection sites by opening a site (or more!) in California. We know that we have a lot of ground to cover in the US and are primarily limited by funding at the moment (it costs approximately $65K to start up and run a new site for a year). We are actively screening MS clinics to identify the location of our 7th site and California is one of a few areas we are focusing on. I wish that I could give you a more definitive answer -- it could be a matter of some months (absolute best case) or a year or even beyond -- depending on funding, the interest of the clinics, etc.
In the interim, if you happen to travel near one of our current collection sites (MD, TX, MA, GA, NY, AZ), you can certainly participate during your travels. In order to do so, contact the study coordinator at one of our collection sites in advance of your trip.
As for other repositories, a few possibilities spring to mind -- the Multiple Sclerosis Genetics Group at UCSF, or possibly the UCLA Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Human Neurospecimen Bank. You can find contact information for these studies on our Biobank Resources page. Additionally, there is the NARCOMS patient registry (data only). Participating in any of these would not preclude you from participating in Accelerated Cure Project's repository.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if I can provide more information.
