Someone asking to look beyond autoimmunity

This letter to the British Medical Journal is refreshing. Abhijit Chaudhuri is replying to a previous letter and asking why we are only looking at autoimmunity as the mechanism in MS. It often bothers me that this is taken for granted when there is no definitive proof that MS is an autoimmune disease. We can't give up on alternative hypotheses just yet!
