SSI rules concerning MS benefits to be revised

The Social Security folks are saying they want comments on benefits for autoimmune disease (which they consider MS to be one of):

We are planning to update and revise the rules that we use to evaluate immune system disorders of adults and children who apply for, or receive, disability benefits under title II and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments based on disability under title XVI of the Social Security Act (the Act). The rules we plan on revising are sections 14.00 and 114.00 in the Listing of Impairments in appendix 1 to subpart P of part 404 of our regulations (the listings). We invite you to send us comments and suggestions for updating and revising these rules.

This doesn't necessarily mean that anything will change, but they need to do this to continue the program. So if you have any suggestions for them, they are receiving them now.
