ADA and Legal Irony

This story really surprised me - apparently the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2000 that states, under the doctrine of sovereign immunity, couldn't be sued for failing to live up to the law's requirements. A number of disabled people in Kentucky are suing the state to comply with ADA requirements at the courthouse! Imagine if a company didn't comply with the ADA and you were going to court as the plaintiff, but you couldn't get to the hearing because there was no way up the stairs.
